Hanauma Bay

One of Oahu’s jewels and a must see location! The beach got its name from the Hawaiian words “hana” which means bay and “uma” which means curved. With a range of different fishes, you may even encounter a sea turtle! Hanauma Bay is so popular because of the variety of different species in the bay.

Makai Research Pier

Located at the South-East corner of Oahu, near Makapu’u Lighthouse this is a great secluded spot to snorkel at. This spot is recommended for more experienced snorkelers because it is open ocean and has some strong currents. Since there is not much beach traffic the likelihood of seeing a turtle in this area is high!
